My story

I'm Cristine DosSantos, and Clean Bee is my company.

I grew up in Brazil, cleaning alongside my mother. She never rushed. She taught me that a home holds a family's whole life, and you treat it with attention and respect. I didn't know it then, but she was teaching me the only way I would ever be able to work.

I came to the United States when I was eighteen, and I didn't speak English. I took whatever work I could find — a supermarket, and a restaurant whose owner fired me instead of paying me for my hours. I've never forgotten how that felt, and it decided the kind of boss I would be.

For years I cleaned other people's homes and watched how the bigger companies did it: rushed visits, missed corners, a different stranger every week. The first homes I ever cleaned were in Princeton. I built Clean Bee here in Elizabeth to be the company I wished existed — where the person in your home notices the corner you'll never check, and where 'clean' means the baseboards, the vents and the track of the sliding door, not just what shows.
